What if I've never promoted herbal products before?+

Most of our partners haven't. We send you a creatives library (photos, video clips, caption templates) and you ship a free essence so you can speak from real experience. The best wellness content has always come from creators sharing what actually worked for them, not from polished sales pitches.

How fast do I get paid?+

Weekly, every Friday. We aggregate commissions on orders that are ≥14 days old (so any 30-night refunds net out cleanly) and send via Venmo, Zelle, or Stripe (you pick during onboarding). No invoicing, no waiting on a check, no minimum threshold.

How does the monthly contest work?+

Top 3 producers by attributed revenue each calendar month win cash + product bonuses. Starting pool (while we're growing): $250 + free Founder's Apothecary Kit for first, $100 + 3 free essences for second, $50 + 1 free essence for third. Once we have 10+ producing partners we scale the cash to $500 / $250 / $100. The quarterly bonus pays the top 3 a $250 cash bonus + a featured Q&A interview on the blog, scaling to top 5 × $500 as the program matures. We deliberately start the contest pool small so the rewards scale up with actual program revenue, not before it.

Do I have to disclose I'm an affiliate?+

Yes. The FTC requires it on every sponsored post (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, blog, email, podcast). We auto-prefix the disclosure on every review you publish on our site, and we provide templated disclosure language for your social posts. We will not work with creators who skip disclosure, both because it is illegal and because it erodes audience trust.

What if my audience is small?+

Nano-tier (1K-10K followers) is our sweet spot. Conversion rates from small, engaged audiences are typically 2-5x higher than from mega accounts. You will not be passed over for size. We do require 1K minimum on your primary platform; apply again when you cross that threshold.

Can I write a negative review of a product?+

Yes. We do not condition the partnership on positive sentiment. If you genuinely don't like one of our products, write that. The honest negative reviews actually convert better for your audience than the glowing ones, because they prove you're not a paid mouthpiece.

How is this different from other wellness affiliate programs?+

Three concrete differences. First: commission. 25% on first orders + 12% recurring is more than double the wellness DTC norm (most pay 10% one-time). Second: clinical credibility. Gaia formulates every product personally; you are promoting a clinical herbalist's work, not a private-label SKU. Third: the 30-night unconditional refund means your audience can try the medicine genuinely risk-free, which is the single biggest objection-handler for a first-time herbal buyer.

What happens if a customer cancels or refunds?+

If the customer refunds within the 30-night window, we claw back the commission for that specific order (this is the only clawback case in our terms). Subscribe & Save cancellations don't claw back past commissions; you keep what you earned on past months. Fraud-flagged orders are also clawed back.

Who owns my creative content?+

You do. We may ask permission to repost individual posts (always with credit and link), but you own everything you make. We never resell your creative or pass it to other affiliates.
