Where does your body actually hold tension?

Five questions, 60 seconds. The quiz matches your pattern to one of the four common adult tension types and shows you the matched release plus the matched plant medicine. Free.

Question 1 of 520%

Where does your tension live first?

  • 01Each archetype has a different fix. Jaw Clencher, Shoulder Hoarder, Post-Workout Bracer, Low-Back Holder. Generic stretching advice misses because it treats tension as one thing.
  • 02The full result comes with the matched release (free) and the matched plant medicine (Comfort & Ease Tonic). We're a clinical-herbalist apothecary; the recommendation is what Gaia would reach for in clinic.
  • 03Optional 5-email walkthrough over the next two weeks if you'd like the full archetype-specific protocol delivered alongside the release.

From the herbalist

In clinic the same complaint ('I'm always tense') can mean four very different things. Most adults try generic stretching and only a quarter of them get the fit. The quiz exists so you don't have to be one of the three who don't.

Questions, answered

How accurate is the quiz?+
It's a 5-question diagnostic, not a clinical assessment. It correctly identifies the dominant archetype for most adults within a few minutes. If your tension is post-injury, post-surgical, or driven by a chronic medical condition, the result is a useful starting point but your full picture needs a conversation with a clinical herbalist or physical therapist.
What are the four tension types?+
Jaw Clencher: TMJ, tension headaches, teeth-grinding. Shoulder Hoarder: shoulders-to-ears, neck pain, desk-job tension. Post-Workout Bracer: athletes and lifters who hold tension as a recovery pattern. Low-Back Holder: long-sitting drives psoas/hip-flexor tightness that pulls the lumbar curve forward.
Why do all four point to Comfort & Ease?+
Because Comfort & Ease is built specifically for the layered nervous-system-meets-muscle pattern most adult tension shares. California Poppy and Passionflower soften the antispasmodic layer; Skullcap and Blue Vervain calm the nervous-system gripping that has the muscles braced. The matched DAILY PRACTICE differs per archetype, which is what the 5-email walkthrough covers.
Do I have to give my email?+
No. You'll see your archetype on the page after the 5 questions. The email gate is optional and unlocks the full result page plus a 5-email walkthrough over the next two weeks. The matched plant-medicine link works either way.
What if my result doesn't match how I feel?+
Reply to the result email. Tension patterns can have overlapping symptoms, and a 5-question quiz can't capture nuance. Gaia reads every reply and is happy to help you figure out the right protocol for your specific picture.
