What's the math?+
Target sleep duration by age (8 hours under 25, 7.5 hours 26-64, 7 hours over 65). Bed time is wake time minus that duration. Last caffeine is wake time plus 6 hours (caffeine half-life). Wind-down begins 60 minutes before bed. These are general sleep-hygiene principles, not personalized clinical advice.
How accurate is this for shift workers or jet lag?+
The math assumes a stable daily rhythm. If you work overnight shifts or rotate, the same principles apply but the anchor point changes (your wake time when you're sleeping during the day, the dose of light you get in the first hour, etc.). Reply to the email and we can talk through the specific adjustment for your schedule.
Do I have to give my email?+
No. The calculator runs entirely on the page. The email gate is optional, and only sends you a single confirmation email with your schedule. If you want the matched plant medicine recommendations, you can opt in for those separately.
