From the herbalist

Plant medicine for dogs has been quietly working for ninety years. The reason most owners haven't tried it isn't skepticism, it's that nobody hands them a working map. This is that map.

Questions, answered

Are flower essences actually safe for dogs?+
Yes. Flower essences have no known pharmacological interactions, no liver burden, no body-weight scaling, no sedation. The brandy preservative contributes a negligible amount of alcohol at the standard four-drop dose, well within safe limits even for small dogs. If your dog is on medications, the essences will not interact. If your dog is acutely ill (vomiting, seizing, in pain), see your vet, the essences are emotional and behavioral support, not veterinary medicine.
How is this different from CBD or melatonin for dogs?+
Both CBD and melatonin work pharmacologically: they introduce active compounds that affect the body's biochemistry. Flower essences work on the emotional and energetic level. No sedative compound, no grogginess, no body-weight dose calculation. They're slower-acting (weeks of consistent use for chronic patterns) but with no risk profile that requires a vet conversation first.
Will it work for my dog? They've been [anxious/reactive/shy] for years.+
Most chronic patterns respond within two to four weeks of consistent daily use. The longer the pattern has been in place, the more important consistency becomes. Owners who give the essence twice daily for three full months almost always see meaningful softening, even on dogs who'd been written off as 'just that way.' The 30-night satisfaction guarantee covers a full refund if you don't see a shift.
Can I give two essences at once?+
Yes, and we often recommend it. The most common pairing is Confidence + Heartful for rescue dogs whose history involves both fear and loss. The two work together; same four-drop dose for each, can go in the same water bowl. The 5-essence Starter Set bundle is the practical choice for multi-dog households or for owners whose dog needs more than one.
Do I have to buy anything?+
No. The guide is free, with no upsells inside the PDF itself. We follow up with a few honest emails over the next two weeks that share what we'd reach for if the guide alone isn't enough (the specific essence for the specific pattern), but you can unsubscribe at any point and keep the guide.
What if my dog hates the taste?+
The guide covers four different ways to give the dose, including water bowl (most common), on a treat, on the ear leather (absorbs through skin, useful for picky drinkers), and direct in the mouth. Almost every dog tolerates at least one of these four methods. The water bowl alone works for the vast majority.
