From the herbalist

Boundaries are not a wall. They are the felt sense of an inner edge. You can lose that edge over decades of accommodation without noticing, and the body forgets it ever had one. The practices in this protocol are how you remind it.

A Quiet Companion for the Heart

This rose flower essence meets me right where I am — even in moments of fragility, when I feel untouchable or heavy with emotion I can’t quite express. There’s a subtle softening that doesn’t force anything, but gentl...

Questions, answered

What's actually in the 7 days?+
Day 1 is Svadhyaya, the body-led self-inquiry. Day 2 is Satya, naming what is true even quietly. Day 3 is Sama-sthiti, the equal-standing posture (a physical anchor for inner steadiness). Day 4 stacks the first three. Day 5 is the small-no rehearsal, a tiny daily practice of saying no to something low-stakes. Day 6 is Sthira, the steadiness practice for the moment someone pushes back. Day 7 is integration. About 16 pages.
Is this for social anxiety or performance anxiety?+
No, those are calm-protocol territory. This protocol is for the long-running daily pattern of self-erasure in close relationships and groups, the over-accommodating, boundary-eroding picture. If your issue is acute pre-event nerves (presentations, performances, first dates), start with the 7-Day Calm Protocol instead. If your issue is realizing you've spent twenty years agreeing with people about things you didn't actually agree with, this is the right protocol.
Will this work if I'm a caretaker, oldest child, or in a high-accommodation career?+
Yes, and these are some of the populations that benefit most. People who have been responsible for others' needs for decades often present with the strongest version of this pattern. The protocol does not ask you to stop caring; it asks you to find the edge between caring for others and erasing yourself. They are not the same thing, though decades of overlap can make them feel that way.
Do I have to buy anything?+
No. The practices work on their own. We follow up with a few honest emails about what we'd reach for if the practices alone aren't enough (Confidence Essence, the goldenrod flower essence for the over-accommodator pattern). You can unsubscribe and keep the protocol.
Will this hurt my relationships?+
The relationships that get thinner are usually the ones that were running on your self-erasure. The relationships that deepen are the ones that wanted the actual you all along. Most clients report a few months of recalibration, then a settled new ground that feels better than the old accommodating one for both sides. The exception is relationships with controlling or manipulative dynamics; those need a therapist's involvement, not just an essence and a protocol.
What if I have a question?+
Reply to any of the emails. The reply lands in Gaia's inbox and she reads every one. Especially happy to suggest tweaks if your situation is unusual (recovery from a high-control relationship, religious-tradition accommodation patterns, deep caretaker burnout).
